INTRODUCTION
I know there is already a topic on how to start a clan and how to format a clan thread. That thread is very useful, but i believe people who want to start a clan should read this before doing anything else. The main reason i have decided to write such a quide is for the simple fact that A LOT of people have NO idea what they are getting themselvs into when making a clan. So i hope that this guide can help, even a little bit, with the clan making process.
QUESTIONS
These are a few of the questions that a person who is interested in making a clan MUST ask themselvs.
Why do i want to make a clan?
Because i'm bored and i can.
Because my friend asked me to.
Because i think it will be totaly awsome.
Are all the WRONG answers.
The reasons for wanting to make a clan should be sincere and have a meaningful purpose. Such as, wanting to prove something to others, and wanting to be in control of your own future within this game.
Do i have enough free time to run a clan?
I'll be active oh about 3-4 days a week for about hour or two.
I'll let my clan members take care of themselvs.
I'll just go with the flow of things and do whatever.
Are all the WRONG answers.
In the clans early development the leader is expected to be the most active and hardest working member of the clan. He/she should expect to be active at least 3-4 hours per DAY everyday. He/she will be in charge of recruiting members, making the clan thread, making the clan site and so on.
What will i do with my clan?
I will "pawn" other clans.
I will have the largest amout of members out of any other clan EVER!
I will do whatever i want, because now i have "people".

Having a clan and having members comes with responsibility, the leader can't screw around and act like an idiot or a child. He/she must be mature and in control at all times, a lack of leadership results in a clans downfall. Wanting to become a great clan, is a good goal to have, but one that will require HARD work.
How will i run my clan?
I think i'll "experiment" and see what happens.
I think "alliances" will strengthen my clan and it's unity.
I think having a "do whatever you want" system is fair.

The leader of the clan HAS to make decisive and sometimes even rash decisions to keep his clan running smoothly. No one wants a "tyrant" of a leader. In order to prevent that, the leader needs to get a better feel for their clan members likes and dislikes. He/she must get to know all of their clan members and interact with them.

Those are the most important questions that i think anyone whos interested in creating a clan needs to answer, and answer correctly.
