This manual will provide a run through of a newly created account and explain all the functionality of the game client.

Lets begin!

When entering the client for the first time you will be initially notified of the first mission that you are able to do. The notice screen will appear on reloading the client to inform you any new that has been unlocked or the results of a battle.

From the picture you can see that “Death and the Strawberry” is unlocked and achievable. To check the requirement of the mission, and the other missions in the game, go to www.bleachtactics.com/manual/missions (http://www.bleachtactics.com/manual/missions) or click on the Missions button on the main site.

On all pages of the selection client, in the bottom left corner there are 3 tabs.

The first outlines any private messages that you received on the site.

Note: Forum messaging system and the site messaging system are different.

The second is an option to toggle the sound on and off. Your option will be saved and carried over to when you next logon.

Finally the third option is the UI colour settings. This option allows you to change the colour of the background. Clicking on it will reveal the below option set. Select the colour of your choice and click Save Settings to apply the colour. The default colour is set to blue. Again saving your settings will be carried over to when you next logon.

The Character Tree

http://forum.bleachtactics.com/selectionmanual/5.jpg

The character tree gives an outline of the characters you’ve already unlocked and characters you can look forward to unlocking and playing with. This list is ever expanding so that’s why your tree may look different to mine.

From the above tree we can see that Uryuu Ishida is the next character we can unlock. With that being said, that doesn’t mean achieving my next mission will unlock Ishida. There maybe several missions before I have him on my team.

You can check the mission page on the main website to give an outline of the requirements needed to unlock characters.

The Skill Tree

http://forum.bleachtactics.com/selectionmanual/6.jpg

Skill trees are a key part of the game, it outlines skills that you can use within battle. Other then the Generic skill tree and the Shinigami skill tree you can only see skills available to characters you’ve already unlocked. Most characters have a skill tree with skills that are unique to them. For the manual we’ll look at the Shinigami skill tree.

http://forum.bleachtactics.com/selectionmanual/7.jpg

The tree shows skills that are unlockable for characters. For the Shinigami skill tree all Shinigami can use the skills other then Ichigo Kurosaki and Kenpachi Zaraki who can not use kidou (magic based) moves. The numbers of skill points available to spend are listed in the top right corner. The only method of gaining skill points and thus is by levelling up.

Below is an image of a selected move. Clicking onto an image on the tree selects move information about the move. We’ve selected “Zanpakutou Slash lv. 2”. From the image we can see the damage and accuracy relative to other moves, the RS and BF cost, the level it can be unlocked, the target type and any addition information regarding the move.

The character skill list hopefully will grow and grow with submitted moves from players so make sure you’re up to date with the skills!

Pick Characters

The Pick Characters allows you to select characters to enter battle with. Moving the mouse over the different characters shows their full pictures and some general information about the characters.

To place a character into your team, click on the character you wish to select and 3 white overlays will appear over the images of your current team. Click on the character you wish to replace and the character will be replaced with the new one.

Equip Skills

http://forum.bleachtactics.com/selectionmanual/12.jpg

The equip skills page allows you to select move for your character to go into battle with. As you unlock more and more moves this list will grow allowing you to better equip your team. All characters must have 5 moves equip for you are able to go to battle.

http://forum.bleachtactics.com/selectionmanual/13.jpg

To select your moves for you character, click on the image of the move you wish to enter. In this case the move is “Zanpakutou Slash lv. 1”. As you can see once the image is clicked on the equipped moves images are highlighted so you are able equip the move into that slot.

Note: You can not have the same move equip twice for one character.

Once you’ve equipped a character with five moves, you can switch to the next one by clicking on the portrait of that character.

Once all characters have been equipped with 5 moves the ranked battle button appears allowing you to start searching for a battle.

Note: In the beta we will only allow Ranked Battles to take place.
