The battle manual will be posted here temporarily while the sections on the main site are filled in:
Starting a battle
To start a battle you have to click on the buttons located underneath the main menu panel. At the moment for the beta, you will only be able to play a RANKED BATTLE.
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image1.jpg
When this is clicked, a new window will appear indicating that you are looking for a battle. Please note, that the cancel button will only appear once the client has verified that you haven’t begun entering a battle.

A battle will start once the matchmaking process has linked you with another player. This will take a variable amount of time as it depends on the amount of users online.

In Battle
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image3.jpg
When you enter a battle you’ll be shown a screen like above. In this section, each feature will be briefly described:
1. Battle Log.
Press CTRL at any time to view your battle log.
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image4.jpg
The battle log is updated every turn and it shows you the details of your own turns, aswell as your opponents. Each turn is separated by a horizontal line. When a character uses a move, the player name is put after it in brackets to indicate who is attacking who. For example.
Harlequin uses Ichigo Kurosaki to attack Jonaids, Yasutora Sado.
Ichigo Kurosaki (Harlequin) attacks Yasutora Sado (Jonaid)
These logs aren’t publically viewable outside of the players in the battle. At the end of the battle they are no longer available for viewing. However, you can copy the text from the battle log, by selecting it, right clicking, and selecting copy.
2. Chat Window
On the right of the screen there is a chat window.

Messages can take up to 5 seconds to be received/sent. All chat sessions are logged, so if you need to report a user, send us the user’s screen-name, your own name, and we’ll find the log and resolve the issue.
3. Active Battle Bar
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image6.jpg
These bar is located just underneath the opponents bar at the top left. It shows the current PHASE, BATTLEFIELD LIMIT, and TIME.
PHASE – This is the mode the current battle is in. Rounds 1-3 are Phase 1, and from then on, it’s Phase 2. In Phase 1, you will get 2-5 battlefield points, in phase 2 you will get 4-8 battlefield points per turn.
BATTLEFIELD LIMIT – This is a count of your current battlefield points. This will decrease as moves are used, and increase as turns are ended.
TIME – This is the current time for your turn. Each player as 90 seconds to do their turn.
4. Player Bar
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image7.jpg
The opponent and the player have the same bar showing their current battle status.
Health is indicated by the green, and reiatsu by the blue. Hovering over a character image will show their status summary:

If the user has an active stat effect, it will show the current changes there. As shown below:
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image9.jpg
You can also hover over the effects of the character to view what the effect is:

Clicking on a character will show their moves and other detailed information. Which will be explained later in this guide.
5. Battle Controls
These controls allow you to end your turn, or end the game.
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image11.jpg
To perform an attack, click on a character, you will be then shown this screen:
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image12.jpg
1: These are the 5 moves you’ve equipped for the selected character. Each move has AP. These are the amount of times you can use a move in the entire battle.
2: When you hover over a move, it’s information is displayed above it.
3: Characters have a status star like on the main selection screen. It has a blue star showing the characters base stats, and a red star on top of it showing their current stats.
When both stats are the same it is shown as purple. If however, a character had their defence and attack paralyzed, their star would look like this:
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image13.jpg
See how the attack and defence values are at 0. The red star has shrunk, while the blue has remained the same. This is because the blue star represents the stats you had when you first started the game. The red star shows what your stats are like after all the battle effects are applied.
4: The grey-out on this move tells the player that their BF Points are too low to use this move, other messages include:
Opp Turn – Indicating that you cannot use a move as it’s the opponents turn.
Paralyzed – Indicating you cannot use a move due to a paralysis effect.
RS Cost – Indicating your reiatsu is too low.
No AP – Indicating you have run out of AP.
Char Used – Indicating that the character has been used.
Attacking
To attack a character, select a move that you wish to use, and then click on the character that you wish to attack. Attackable targets are indicated by a glowing red foreground.
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image14.jpg
When a target is selected, the move shown is attached to the side of their portrait. To un-assign a move, click the icon that appears.
http://forum.bleachtactics.com/manualImages/image15.jpg
When you are done, click End Turn.
Evading, Parrying, Countering and Missing:
In a battle each character has a chance of evading and countering a move, aswell as the attack missing the move.
Whether or not a move lands is dependant on the move accuracy, and the characters accuracy.
Evasion is dependant on the characters evasion alone, and similiarly countering has it's own hidden chance of occuring.
In addition to these a move can do the following:
Be Parried - When a character parries a move, it does reduced damage. This reduced damage amount is dependant on the defence of the character getting hit.
Defence Break - When a move breaks defence it lands a critical hit, resulting in more than normal damage.
Effect Descriptions:
HP LCH – Means HP Leech. The target will lose HP over time.
ATK PAR – Means Attack Paralysis. The target will be unable to attack.
DEF PAR – Means Defence Paralysis. The target will be unable to defend.
